Gorgeous rock from Arizona. The information given on this rock says this is from Arizona and it is petrified wood that was made about 160 million years ago. It was buried beneath silt in a sea and it was replaced by silica, minerals, etc., causing it to gem into a hard rock with a rainbow of colors. This would look gorgeous sitting on a stack of books on your bookshelf or you could use it as a book end as it is heavy. This rock has felt on two separate sides so you can choose which way you like it displayed best. It measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches tall and is approximately 1 3/4 inches deep
